The Body (Part IV)

The first alien face-off begins.

Bethany was still getting used to her first-ever battlesuit. It wasn't the same as the SWAT gear she had to utilize on the force, but that's because this was no regular suit. This one had a name, Saphrana; an alien she had only known for a few weeks now. Things have changed so quickly, and she had realized if she just stepped away (like so many of the others did) then their world wouldn't stand a chance. 

"Get ready, they are coming," Saphrana's voice said in Bethany's head.

She looked around, first to her left, then to the right. There were five of them...her old forcemates. Each of them looked like they were in some kind of weird mech suit that extended down their arms, and legs, covered their back and chest as well as the back of their head. They were wearing aliens, just like she was.
